July 2013 Random Favorites!

Here are some of my random favorites of July!

- My Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac. I received this for my Birthday and have been so in love with it! I basically use it everyday and love that I don't have to carry around a huge purse now.

-Gold Buckle cuff. Purchased this while I was on vacation in the Cape and thought it was so cute and had a similar resemblance of the Cartier love bangle, which I would adore to purchase but seriously cannot afford!

-Skinny Pop Popcorn. LOVE THIS! 39 calories for one cup?! Yes please! I get to indulge without feeling so guilty ;)

-Chocolate Chip Brownie & Oat Bars. I got these from Trader Joe's and they taste amazing! There only 120 calories each so their not that awful for you and made from oats.

Review: The Balm Nude'Tude Eyeshadow Palette

I recently ordered The Balm Nude'Tude palette off of Hautelook, which I was super excited that it was on there since I have been dying to try this palette since it first came out!
Packaging is super cute, just like all of The Balms products.

The colors in this palette are beautiful and all shades I would wear so it's perfect.
Most of the colors in this are shimmer and four are matte. The colors are very pigmented and also very easy to blend. I've tried pretty much all of these colors except for the three matte ones to the right but from swatches they look pretty nice.

These are so smooth and I can do so many different looks with this palette which I love!
I would definitely recommend this palette for everyday neutral makeup especially if it goes for sale on Hautelook!

Review: L'Oreal Full Definition Voluminous Mascara

Hey guys, So I have another mascara review for you all, and it's the L'Oreal Full Definition Voluminous. This isn't a new mascara but it is one that I have been wanting to try out.

Here are the claims this mascara has:
-Creates defined lashes that are naturally smooth and soft
-The Volume Maximizing Brush combs through lashes, depositing just the right amount of product for a clump-free, separated look
-Smooth and even application, Lash by lash definition

Love the packaging with this product! Such a pretty tube of mascara :) The brush is a regular mascara style and not plastic..even though I always prefer plastic wand mascaras.

After applying this mascara and letting it dry for a little I touched my lashes to verify the claim of " naturally, smooth lashes". My lashes don't feel hard or stiff so this claim is definitely accurate!

I applied two coats of this mascara and I felt that if I would of applied anymore it would of gotten clumpy. I could see my lashes starting to drupe after the second coat so this mascara does have quite a wet formula.
It does separate nicely and gives good volume but as for length...ehh not so much.

Overall,it's more of a natural looking mascara and doesn't give me amazing length or volume but it's okay. I will continue to use it and test it out but I don't see myself repurchasing.

Review: Nivea Lip Butters

I recently purchased the new Nivea Lip Butters and thought I would share my thoughts on them. I didn't get the other two lip butters that are available which are the Caramel Kiss and un-scented one. I'm not a big fan of the smell of caramel so I just passed on that, and the non-scented lip butter seemed boring to me. Anyways here's my review-Enjoy! :)

Here are some of the claims that Nivea has of the Lip Butters:
-Enriched with Shea Butter and Almond Oil to intensely moisturize and soothe dry lips for long-lasting care.
-Formula melts onto lips providing long-lasting nourishment to make all your kisses better.

As for the packaging of this product: I love it! I like how it's in a tin and so compact. The overall packaging of this product is just awesome.

These Lip Butters are super smooth and creamy. The Raspberry one is a bit softer, as you can see there is a little dent in the middle so just watch out for that when using it!
As for some of the claims:
-These do seem to be very moisturizing and leave my lips feeling moisturized for quite some time.
-These Lip Butters are not at all sticky, but are on the thicker side so I wouldn't say that they melt on your lips but they definitely leave them soft and moisturized!

As you can see these do have a tint of color to them which does show up when on the lips. I personally love the tint of color to both of these. They help mute out my normal lip color a bit and look really nice on!

Overall, I love these lipbutters and the scent of them are AH-MAZING. If you are a fan of vanilla and raspberry then you will love these.

Review: L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara

Hey guys, so as I promised in my March Favorites video I am doing a review on the new mascara from L'Oreal called the Telescopic Shocking Extensions. Hope you enjoy!

I'll First start of with some of the claims that this mascara has:

-"In one motion  lashes are separated, intensified, and look shockingly lengthened"
-"Clump-free, flake-free, smudge-free"

I really do love the packaging of the mascara, I know that's not what matters but seriously it's a mini telescope!
I also really like the brush, it's not too big so you can fit it into certain parts of your eye without getting mascara all over the place.

Here's what my lashes look like with just being curled (I use the Shu Uemura lash curler)

And here is what the mascara looks like on my lashes. It does a nice job of separating the lashes and doesn't really clump. As for length, it does give my lashes quite a bit of length but it's not "shockingly lengthened" as it claims. I have pretty long lashes so this mascara might look different on you so also keep that in mind.
I don't have a problem with this mascara smudging or flaking off, so the claims on that is true and I do also have oily eyelids and the mascara on my lower lashes will smudge sometimes and I didn't have that problem with this.

Overall, I do really like this mascara and I would re-purchase in the future. I like how separating it is and non-clumpy. I also can't compare it to the original L'Oreal Telescopic being that I've never tried that mascara before but I do really like this one!
